Big girl bed

When Rex was born, we bought Clara a toddler bed and put it in her room along with her crib. She slept in it a couple of nights before deciding she wanted to stay in her crib. We didn't want to rush her out of her crib so we bought a crib for Rex too and took her toddler bed down. At the end of June, I was talking to Clara about moving to a big girl bed and she wanted to get it out right away. That evening we got the toddler bed out of the attic and set it up in her room. She wanted us to take down her crib right away, so we did that too. She has done great in her new bed--although most nights we find her asleep on her floor. She is a little too anxious to grow up for my taste.

Self Portraits

I found all of these self-portraits of Ben and the kids on his phone. I love every single one of them.

Spring pictures

Rex got a phone for his birthday and spent a lot of time talking on it.

We visited the new City Creek Center when Steven Haueter was in town to run the marathon.

Photos from Ben's phone.

Ben and I went on a weekend trip to Seattle in May.

Butterfly Pavilion

On the way back from Texas we spent the night in Denver. The next morning we went to the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster before getting on the road. They have a rainforest room you can walk through with over 1000 butterflies. I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids. They also had a bunch of other live bug exhibits. Keynan got to hold a tarantula and Clara and Keynan got to pet giant cockroaches. They also have a beehive between sheets of plexiglass and it was fascinating to watch the bees come in and out of the hive.
