Easter weekend

I love celebrating Easter. I love the spring weather and everything coming back to life after a long winter. I get excited to choose Easter clothes for kids and share in their Easter excitement. I made Clara's dress this year and since she like it, I was happy.  Ben and I enjoyed teaching Clara the real meaning of Easter this year. Ben had Good Friday off of work and so we dropped the kids off at the Huff's house and went to the Jordan River temple that morning. After enjoying a lunch at the hospital with Ben's parents, Sam & the Huffs, we headed home. While Rex and Ben napped, Clara and I walked over to the park for our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. On Saturday, we enjoyed the lovely Spring weather with the kids and then Ben and I had a date to the Jazz game that evening with some people Ben works with. When we got home that night and checked on the kids, Rex had thrown up in his bed. We spent a majority of the night changing sheets and pajamas, giving baths and holding our sick boy. On Sunday morning, Rex slept in while Clara enjoyed her Easter basket. While Ben got ready for church, she and I made resurrection rolls together. Ben and Clara headed off to church while Rex and I enjoyed some quiet time together. Rex seemed a little happier after his nap that afternoon and so we decided to head to West Jordan for an Easter dinner and egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We left a little early because Rex seemed to be feeling sick again but it was nice to be family to celebrate.

Canyonlands Half Marathon

In March we went to Moab so that Ben and his sister, Melissa, could run in the Canyonlands Half Marathon. Ben wanted to run a half marathon as part of his marathon training and he convinced Melissa to run it too. We rented a three bedroom condo and went down a day early so that we could enjoy Arches National Park. It was fun to be with the Huffs and Clara kept telling us how much she liked our new house.

Making themselves at home and enjoying the fireplace launching pad.

We spent Friday morning in Arches. We went to Sand Dune arch where we all had fun exploring and climbing. It was my first time in Arches and we are excited to go back when we have more time to explore.

Getting ready to leap up the wall

Made it!

Clara had so much sand in her shoes!

Paul brought poster board and we made signs for both of our runners.

The kids wanted to have a race of their own. And they're off!
