Clara took her first swim lessons during March at the Bountiful Rec Center. She loved it at first and asked every day if she had a swim lesson. She had six lessons over three weeks and on lesson number four she dunked herself accidentally and got pretty scared. After that, she didn't want to go back. I spent half of lesson five convincing her to get back in the pool and didn't even try to go to the last lesson because of her protestations. I was hoping it would be a positive experience for her so that she could be more confident in the water this summer. Maybe by next year her enthusiasm for the pool will be renewed.
