Canyonlands Half Marathon

In March we went to Moab so that Ben and his sister, Melissa, could run in the Canyonlands Half Marathon. Ben wanted to run a half marathon as part of his marathon training and he convinced Melissa to run it too. We rented a three bedroom condo and went down a day early so that we could enjoy Arches National Park. It was fun to be with the Huffs and Clara kept telling us how much she liked our new house.

Making themselves at home and enjoying the fireplace launching pad.

We spent Friday morning in Arches. We went to Sand Dune arch where we all had fun exploring and climbing. It was my first time in Arches and we are excited to go back when we have more time to explore.

Julian is 7!

This March, my nephew Julian had an awesome reptile birthday party. My sister, Audra, hired a lady to come and do a presentation. All of the animals are her personal pets. In addition to teaching the kids something about each of the animals, she let all of them hold them. Julian was in heaven. He got to wear a special safari vest and be the helper. Clara and Rex were excited to hold everything! It was a great party.

Holding the bearded dragon

The legless lizard. This thing was a little creepy. It whipped around a lot.

Clara kept saying, "She loves me!"

Holding the tree frog

Rex petting the bearded dragon. It just sat at the front of the table and didn't move.
